** - prepared from thyme herb (Thymus Vulgaris L., f. Lamiaceae), purified water (extractant), in a ratio of 1: 3.3 (3.3 parts of the extract are obtained from 1 part of vegetable raw materials).
Excipients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), sucrose.

The drug is of plant origin. It has an expectorant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial effect, helps to reduce the viscosity of sputum and better discharge of sputum.
As an expectorant in the complex therapy:
Inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract with sputum difficult to separate (including bronchitis, tracheitis, tracheobronchitis).
In acute respiratory diseases accompanied by dry cough.
Children after acute obstructive laryngitis (croup).
Hereditary intolerance to fructose.

Use during pregnancy and lactation
Pregnant and lactating women are not recommended to use the drug (due to the lack of data on the safety of the drug in this category of patients).
Dosage and administration
Adults: the drug is prescribed in 3 scoops (15 ml) 3-4 times/day after meals.
Children older than 14 years: appoint 2 scoops (10 ml) 3-4 times/day.
Children aged 5 to 14 years: 1 scoop (5 ml) 3 times / day.
Children aged 2 to 5 years: 1/2 measuring spoon (2.5 ml) 3 times/day.

The drug Gerbion primrose syrup should not be prescribed simultaneously with antitussive drugs and drugs that reduce the formation of sputum, because this makes it difficult to cough up liquefied sputum.
Currently, cases of overdose of the drug Herbion primrose syrup have been reported.
Symptoms: in case of overdose of saponin-containing drugs, disorders of the gastrointestinal tract are possible (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea).
