What is Interstitial Nephritis?

Description of the disease:

Interstitial nephritis is an inflammation of the kidney tissue, which is often caused by autoimmune reactions or exposure to toxic substances. It can lead to impaired kidney function and the development of chronic kidney failure.

  • Chronic interstitial nephritis

Symptoms:

  • Edema
  • Lower back pain
  • High blood pressure
  • Frequent urination
  • Blood in the urine

Causes:

Autoimmune reactions, exposure to toxic substances (e.g. medications), infectious diseases (e.g. hepatitis, influenza), allergic reactions.

Diagnosis:

Treatment:
